Mentions in Notes from the API

Have you considered making public the ability to mention a user via a note in the FUB API?

It seems non-orthogonal to me to support this from an action plan but not the public API.

Context: I built a lead watching system that sends neglected leads back to a pond. I add a note to the affected lead to indicate the reason(s) that the lead was considered neglected (lack of calls, texts, etc). However, I cannot actually notify the user the lead will be taken from.
